The Director, HQ Accounting will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting, maintaining robust internal controls, and providing financial insights to support business decision-making. This position requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in accounting, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to drive continuous improvement in financial processes.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage the headquarters accounting team, ensuring high performance and alignment with company goals.Oversee the preparation and review of consolidated financial statements, ensuring compliance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and regulatory requirements.Direct the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.Develop and implement effective accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.Coordinate and manage internal and external audit processes, addressing findings and implementing corrective actions as necessary.Provide strategic financial analysis and insights to senior management to support business planning and decision-making.Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial consultants.Lead and participate in special projects and initiatives, such as system implementations and process improvements.Mentor and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards and regulations, ensuring the company remains compliant.
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards.Proven experience managing complex financial operations and driving process improvements.Strong proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
