Principal Software Engineer – Virtual Platform

Our automated pickup and delivery systems use a combination of robotics and software to efficiently handle large volumes of online orders, streamlining operations for managers and enhancing the customer experience. We're passionate about robotics, retail, and creating solutions that impact millions of customers daily.We're seeking a Principal Software Engineer to help lead the development of our Emulation Software product. This solution will enable us to test our hardware at scale, without the need for physical systems. As the driving force behind this new product, you'll be tasked with designing and implementing functional emulation solutions for Robotics Control Systems. This is a unique opportunity to shape how a business approaches robotics testing and validation.Working closely with our software leadership, you'll:
Lead technical decision-making around a scalable software product that will enable our robotics testing processesCreate and design complex requirements and translate them into robust architecturesLead high-impact operational and technical projects from conception to completionCreate optimized code that sets new standards for performance and reliabilityImplement testing protocols for functionalityWhat we're looking for:
10+ years of experience in software development technical leadershipExperience using system monitoring tools (e.g. New Relic) and automated testing frameworksKnowledge of selected programming languages (e.g. Python, C++) and the Java/J2EE platformDeep experience with Kubernetes and DockerHands-on experience building microservices on Cloud Platform, such as Azure/AWSIn-depth knowledge of relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB)Familiarity with various operating systems (Linux, Mac OS, Windows)Excellent organizational and leadership skillsBSc/BA in Computer Science or a related degreeWe offer great benefits for a happier mind, body, and wallet:
