SLED Sales focuses on the State, Local, and Education Sector. This includes selling products or services to government agencies, municipalities, schools, universities, and other public institutions. The SLED Account Manager is responsible for achieving sales quota in assigned territory through direct sales to customers. This role controls the accounts directly even if the business is booked through channels.Basic Qualifications/Skills:Adhere to company policies and ethical guidelinesFollows a selling processResponsible for booking business per the company bookings policies and revenue recognition policyUnderstand the customer’s business and how our products impact their businessDevelops strong relationships and coaches in the accountsDevelops a pipeline of 4X quota and is constantly prospecting in new or existing accountsDevelops strong working relationships with channel partnersConsistently calls at multiple levels high and wideWorks collaboratively with Sales Engineers to ensure ongoing account technical support.Follows company strategy and directionSubstantial travel within region and occasionally beyond is requiredCandidate will need to be located on the West Coast or Mountain StatesThe ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.Preferred Qualification/Skills:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related degree5 + years sales experience in Network Security or cybersecurity5+ years experience selling into large IT / Data Centers5 + years experience in the SLED market segmentA quantifiable track record of success demonstrated by territory/professional growthA solid, articulate understanding of our technology, market, and client profileTrack record of exceptional and consistent quota achievementProven success, established customers and contacts, and solid territory knowledgeYou will need the skill to independently, work with large, complex accountsAbility to source, pursue and close new businessLocation:
