The IT Business Operations Analyst, Senior (Sr IT BizOps Analyst) supports the office of the CIO and is responsible for critical aspects of the business of IT. This includes cost control oversight; invoice processing; preparing and reviewing budgets, forecasts, actual spend reconciliation; resource management - headcount and contractor/consultant tracking; department communications and engagement. The Sr IT BizOps Analyst will also be responsible for general reporting, preparing executive presentations, and leading continuous improvement activities.Tasks and Responsibilities
Drive financial activities across leaders in the department, in partnership with FP&A; support IT leadership with budgets, forecasts, spend reconciliation activitiesOversee IT timecard process; prepare timecard data reports for Accounting and IT leadersPerform complex analysis to identify trends and opportunities for improvement - utilizing both financial and operational dataPerform tracking of employee and contractor/consulting resourcesMature the IT department communication and engagement activitiesCoordinate IT invoice processing, ensuring accurate coding and approvalsPrepare recurring and adhoc reporting for leaders and executives to ensure accurate information for managing IT teams and departmentSupport other IT business activities, e.g. requests for project funding, supplier contract reviews and enforcementParticipate in financial, operational, and other special projectsMinimum Education
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent industry experienceMinimum Experience
4+ years of professional experience in a role focused on financials, reporting, and analysisFamiliarity with IT organizations and IT budgets, preferredKnowledge, Skills, Abilities
Demonstrated ability to support department leaders with advancing and maturing strategic and tactical activitiesStrong understanding of finance and accounting principlesExperience with departmental budgeting and forecasting processesStrong facilitation and organizational skills; able to interact and collaborate with team members across different departments and functionsExperience preparing and presenting reports and analysis to managementExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAdvanced Excel skills; and strong skills for other Microsoft applications such as Word, PowerPoint, Teams, OutlookAbility to identify issues and problems, generate solutions, and review alternativesAbility to work independently when needed but also work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment focused on common goals to achieve mutually beneficial resultsAbility to prioritize and manage workload, communicating issues clearlyStrong continuous improvement mindsetPhysical Demands and Work Environment
