Are you ready to lead a dynamic technical team and drive innovation in product development? If so, then this opportunity is for you! We are seeking a Chief Engineer to deliver the strategic engineering vision for our product line.
THE DAY TO DAY...
Lead the technical team that delivers the strategic engineering vision of a product lineOversee design plans as part of the Ariens Product Development processResponsible for design and test plans, product launch timelines, and resource management to hit those timelinesResponsible for establishing and achieving material cost targetsDrive customer value added innovation within the engineering team and hold team members accountable to complete projects on time and on budgetTeach best practices and create design standards for all vehicle systemsContribute to strategic and tactical plans to support the broader business planResponsible for delivering the Technical Data Package (TDP) including bills of material, technical drawings, and driving demands in the systemPrepare engineering documents including cost estimates, appropriation requests, project schedules, and design specificationsLead technical design reviews related to technology and sub-systems that will be used on assigned product launches and technology development projectsMentor team members on best practices for executing project workTHE QUALIFICATIONS...
Bachelor's degree in engineering (B. S.) from a four-year accredited institution with the focus being relevant to the job requirements of the technical team that he/she manages (example: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc.)Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience preferred with a significant amount in a leadership role either of direct reports or on project teamsSignificant experience in launching new products into productionExperience in high-volume product launches is preferredAdditional business degree or a project management certification is a plusAbout AriensCo
