About the Role & Team
Disney Television Animation is looking for a Storybook Artist to join an unannounced Disney Junior project! The Storybook Artist is responsible for creating line art and full-color illustrated panels that depict key scenes and moments from episodes. These Storybooks can be used for focus testing with audiences during the pre-production process.What You Will Do
Work closely with the production team to create full color, engaging storybook illustrations that depict key scenes and moments from episodes, from thumbnail sketches through delivery of finished illustrationsUse a strong understanding of staging, composition, color design, and character design to bring scenes to life while adhering to the vision and style of the showAddress notes from Executive Producers and Supervising Directors, revise work, and submit completed storybook illustrations in accordance with production schedulesAdditional duties as necessary, or as defined by individual contractsRequired Qualifications & Skills
2+ years of experience and/or training in a similar roleProficiency with digital illustration software and hardware including Cintiq and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Illustrator).A strong portfolio that showcases an ability to create engaging, colorful illustrationsAbility to draw characters and environments that align with the style and sensibility of showExcellent understanding of art fundamentals including staging, composition, color theory, and character designAbility to work under tight deadlines and manage your time effectivelyExcellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work well in a teamPreferred Qualifications
Knowledge and experience with television animation production pipeline a plusExperience in children's media, illustration, or animation is a plusEducation
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of training and/or experience.Additional Information

The base pay actually offered may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors. Select benefits may be provided as part of the compensation package, such as medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
