Job Summary:Take that next step in your hospitality career as one of our catering supervisors. Join the team responsible for supervising and coordinating food related services for events held at the Memorial Union and other locations. As a catering supervisor, you will lead food preparation and catering setup for events ranging from receptions to buffets to plated dinners. You will mentor student team members in their catering production work and training. You will also assist with other dining-related efforts, such as inventory and taking steps to ensure we have a safe, sanitary dining experience behind the scenes and in our front-of-house. We host a wide spectrum of events from weddings to tailgates to breakfast meetings. This position is eligible for a night pay differential of $2.50 per hour for hours worked between 6:00 pm and 6:00 am. For a summary of benefits, please see.Additional Information:The Wisconsin Union operates from several buildings on the UW-Madison campus including Memorial Union, Union South, Fluno Center, Pyle Center, University Club, Red Gym, and the Student Activity Center. The Wisconsin Union is a financially self-supporting division of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Financial support for the organization is provided by income earned by over thirty food service units and a variety of nonfood units such as games, guest rooms, space rentals and campus vending. Substantial support is also provided by student fees. The total annual organizational budget is approximately $60 million dollars.
