Our technical expertise and innovations are comprised of codeless automation, identity intelligence, immersive technology, artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML), virtualization, and digital transformation.*** FULLY REMOTE - UNITED STATES RESIDENTS ONLY ***We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to support a rapidly growing Data Analytics and Business Intelligence platform:POSITION DESCRIPTION:In this role, you will be pivotal in supporting our federal customer in building exciting, innovative, and consolidated BI solutions by developing and refining various data workflows and dashboards. You will be joining a team helping to consolidate and simplify complex data streams across the organization and your work will directly empower senior leadership with a comprehensive, real-time understanding of the organization, arming them with the information needed to make strategic decisions. You will need to be capable of:Translating business requirements into technical specifications to create insightful and interactive business intelligence dashboards that drive decision-makingHaving a keen eye for detail, a strong analytical mindset, and the ability to work independently and effectively in a dynamic environmentCritical thinking and being a perpetual learner who seeks exposure to new challenges and builds skillsets across a range of technologies.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and Power BI dashboards, ensuring data presented is accurate and up to dateUnderstand business stakeholders’ data visualization needs and translate them into technical tasksPerform ETL using Python and various other technologies on structured, unstructured, and semi-structured data from various sources into relational databasesSupport end-user access and training of any reports and dashboardsCreate and maintain documentation for solutions such as report specifications, data dictionaries, step-by-step workflows, and data models createdServe as the lead and main developer for projects, acting as the main point of contact for customers; includes presenting work in front of customers and leadershipMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Must be a US CitizenMust be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance2+ years of experience using Python to automate data pipelines, manipulate data, and draw insights from large datasets2+ years of experience utilizing SQL to query, manipulate, and interact with relational databasesREQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:Experience designing and implementing relational data models2+ years of experience developing dashboards using visualization toolsExperience working with Power BIExperience writing DAX and familiarity with MExperience working in cloud environments such as AWS or AzureExperience with serverless capabilitiesWork comfortably in version control systems, such as Git RepositoriesSolid familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practicesExperience working in an Agile methodology specifically Scrum and/or KanbanExcellent communication and interpersonal leadership skillsDESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:Prior professional services or federal consulting experienceExperience supporting Department of Homeland Security is highly preferredExperience with the Atlassian suite (Jira/Confluence)
