They will follow all YMCA and DOH aquatics standards to maintain safety for all aquatics programs in and around the swim area. The Aquatics Director will serve as a model to promote and demonstrate a professional demeanor (uniform and positive attitude) to other aquatics staff.Benefits:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience supervising Lifeguards and Swim Instructors.Must be at least 21 years old.Current YMCA Lifeguard certification or equivalent (must attain YMCA LG certification within 90 days of hire).Current YMCA Swim Lesson Instructor certification or equivalent (must attain YMCA Swim Lesson Instructor certification within 120 days of hire).Current Basic Life Support (CPRO), First Aid and Emergency Oxygen certifications.Demonstrate swim strokes, lifeguard rescues, and BLS (CPRO)/FA/EO skills.Maintain certification level of physical and mental readiness.Responsible for recertification before expiration.Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.Certifications to attain within 180 days of hire: YMCA Pool Operator or equivalent and YMCA Aquatics Management.Certifications to attain within 1 year of hire: YMCA Introduction to Fiscal Management and YMCA Lifeguard Instructor and YMCA Supervision.
