The Senior Business Analyst is the interface between IT and business and is responsible for creating business requirements by analyzing business processes and related systems; assisting the development team to design and support solutions that meet business needs; and conducting quality assurance tasks to make sure client’s expectations are met. The Senior Business Analyst will be working with a variety of business applications including internally developed as well as vendor systems with a specialization in Charles River.
Primary Responsibilities:
Maintains familiarity with business systems and their usage from both an IT and business perspective.Maintains familiarity with technology solutions and correlates them to the fundamental business processes.Maintains a fundamental understanding of how to create project plans, business requirements, and test plans associated with development projects.Provides business and technical support and consultation for systems used by business teams.Configures and supports application settings to tailor software to meet business needs.Develops and executes test cases throughout the software development life cycle based on system requirements and use cases.Works on a variety of projects as business analyst, tester, and assists in project management responsibilities.Performs related duties as assigned.Collaborates with various teams such as Trade Settlement, Operations, Compliance, Trading, and Portfolio Management.Effectively writes business, functional, and technical requirements in the form of user stories under the Agile/Scrum framework.Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in business or other related field required.Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum framework.Solid understanding of trading lifecycle.3+ years in configuration of Charles River, including Imports, Extracts, Manager Workbench, Layouts, Result Sets, and Reports.1+ years of Charles River Compliance, including rule writing.6-8 years experience in investment management systems that support operations and trading departments.6-8 years experience in business analysis including gathering requirements, developing functional specifications, developing test plans, and conducting tests.3-5 years experience in project management and full application development lifecycle from inception through implementation.Strong verbal communication and inter-personal skills.Strong SQL skills and can conduct data analysis independently.Deep knowledge in investment management business processes and system interfaces.Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills coupled with a strong work ethic.Strong attention to detail.Ability to work efficiently in a high demand, team-oriented, and fast-paced environment.Must be able to quickly adapt to new technologies and/or business processes.
