This role will focus on shaping RMC's balance sheet and asset portfolio by conducting rigorous investment analysis and recommending strategies for a variety of mortgage-related assets (non-agency RMBS, servicing rights, etc.).Your role will also lead the analytical efforts related to the Radian Mortgage Capital Trust securitization platform, as well as collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across RMC and Radian to drive broader business goals. The Director, Mortgage Investments will be a key contributor to RMC's overall growth strategy, with regular exposure to senior executives across RMC and Radian Group.This role is well-suited for a strong analytical structured finance investment professional that wants to apply their skillset to have a significant degree of ownership over a strategy and asset portfolio.See Your Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesCreate valuation and returns analysis of structured products issued from the RMCT securitization platform; advise on related structuring and retention decisions.Develop models and framework for evaluating investments in mortgage servicing rights; advise the trading and secondary markets group on pricing and retention strategy.Collaborate with Finance to develop and manage the reporting and strategic planning for RMC's balance sheet and asset portfolio, effectively evaluating risk and returns across relevant economic scenarios.Serve as the key point of contact with internal stakeholders (e.g. Finance, Accounting, Trading) as it relates to administrative aspects of RMC's asset portfolio.Lead surveillance efforts for the RMCT securitization program, monitoring prepayment and loss rates, secondary market trading, and other key performance indicators.Contribute analysis of new asset classes to develop business cases for RMC growth opportunities.Conduct macroeconomic and product-specific research to refine modeling inputs related to RMC's asset management strategy, acquisition pricing, and functions.Collaborate with Radian's enterprise Quantitative Analytics team to implement and refine economic scenarios and modeling inputs.Prepare market updates to inform the broader team on actionable trends in the sector.Perform other duties as assigned or apparent.See the Job SpecificationYour Basic Education and Prior Work-Related Experience :Degree Requirement:Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience.Work Experience:5 or more years of prior work-related experience required, 8 or more years experience preferred.Additional Qualifications :Experience in analytics-focused mortgage or structured finance roles, with experience investing in these assets for long-term value required.Experience in a structured finance investment banking and/or investment management role preferred.Focus on residential mortgage-backed securities and other mortgage-related assets (e.g. servicing rights) preferred.Excellent financial analysis and modeling fundamentals, with a sophisticated technical understanding of fixed income value drivers.Expert-level proficiency with Intex, Bloomberg and other structured products modelling tools.Excellent technical skills (including advanced Excel & SQL) with ability to design and maintain complex financial models, as well as manipulate and interpret large datasets.Ability to make logical assumptions and drive thoughtful analysis with incomplete information.Ability to effectively convey investment strategies - convert quantitative analysis into succinct investment and asset allocation theses.Passion for financial markets and the ability to form an educated and independent view on a business problem.Excellent verbal and written skills including the ability to communicate sophisticated and technical concepts clearly and professionally.Ability to prepare and produce quality presentations for executive management and other management level committees.Ability to travel to our Wayne, PA and Denver, CO offices as business requires.See Your LocationRadian is committed to a flexible work environment for many of our roles.
