Director of Sales - Furniture Manufacturer | Richmond, VAThis is an exciting role for an experienced sales executive to join a custom furniture manufacturer that is growing. This opportunity allows you to work directly with the President as you drive sales and relationships for the company.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Planning and Execution:
Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve company revenue goals.Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.Set sales targets and KPIs and develop action plans to achieve them.
Team Leadership and Management:
Recruit, train, and mentor the internal and external sales team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.Foster a positive and productive team environment.
Sales Operations:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the sales department, including customer sales lifecycle and reporting.Implement and manage sales processes and systems to enhance efficiency.Monitor and analyze sales metrics to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.Address client concerns and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.Collaborate with the marketing and customer service teams to enhance the overall customer experience.Utilize enterprise CRM software to maintain all aspects of the customer lifecycle process.
Budget and Resource Management:
Develop and manage the sales department budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and optimal resource allocation.Approve expenditures and monitor financial performance against budget.
Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare and present regular sales reports and forecasts to senior management.Analyze sales data to derive actionable insights and adjust strategies accordingly.
Collaboration:
Work closely with other departments, such as marketing, product development, and finance, to align sales efforts with overall company goals.Participate in cross-functional teams to drive business initiatives and projects.
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field.
