As the Area Sales Manager, OEM, you will manage a territory comprised of OEM focused salespeople & Independent Sales Reps which meets its volume growth (balanced selling), price/quality/margin, cost and customer satisfaction objectives, through excellent external and internal customer relations and an increasing market share in the geographical area of responsibility. Provide consistent disciplined, local execution of the OEM strategy and programs meeting local coverage targets across ABB's BUs and customer needs.This is a remote position; however, successful candidates should be located in the Midwest territory (ND, SD, MN, IA, IL, WI).This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Buildings division in The United States.You will be mainly accountable for:Manage OEM sales team (both internal and external resources) covering your district territories.Identifying and evaluating new opportunities with existing and potential customers, determining plans for implementation, and allocating required resources.Planning and executing customer surveys and acting on the survey results to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.Escalation point on all OEM related decisions, including participating in the negotiation of key contracts.Qualifications for the role
Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Business preferred; however, candidates with no degree and commensurate experience will also be considered.Senior Account Management experience.10+ years experience successfully managing sales teams strongly preferred.Understanding and experience with full portfolio of products and services (including power distribution one-line and installation products).Demonstrated knowledge of electrical industry and ABB products.More about us
