Warehouse Worker/ Crane Operator$18-20hr | Monday- Friday (Weekends Off) | Omaha, NE | Benefits Included
Job Description
General laborers will use an overhead crane to control the lifting, moving, and positioning of loads. They observe and ensure that the load is safely attached and within the lifting limits. They keep the crane clean and well maintained. Crane operators will be responsible for tracking inventory in their own bay. Customers will drive semis through the plant, and crane operators will load the bed of the truck with structural steel beams based on order sheets.ResponsibilitiesOperate an overhead crane to lift, move, and position loads.Ensure loads are safely attached and within lifting limits.Maintain and clean the crane regularly.Track inventory in designated bay.Load structural steel beams onto trucks based on order sheets.Essential SkillsExperience operating equipment in a warehouse environment.Experience with forklifts or electric pallet jacks.Experience using RF scanners.6+ months operating a forklift (sit-down, stand-up, or high reach).6+ months operating heavy equipment.6+ months of general warehouse experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsAny other heavy equipment operating experience is a plus.Why Work Here?On top of the hourly pay they have a great 401(k) package

Work Environment
This is not a temperature-controlled environment, but it is relatively clean for a metal distribution center. The temperature inside will match the outside temperature due to trucks driving in and out all day. The team size is 2-3 people. The dress code includes steel-toed boots, jeans, and a work shirt. Work shifts are 1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM and 2nd Shift: 4:00 PM - 11:30 PM.
