We are hiring a Software Application Engineer at Capgemini Government Solutions (CGS) LLC. Your main responsibilities will include validating new software compatibility and supporting the implementation of the approved software.
The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to apply their skills, work alongside a motivated and entrepreneurial team, interact with a wide range of partners, and contribute to CGS' growth in serving our clients.
Job Responsibilities
As a Software Application Engineer, you will:
Understand client requirements and how they translate in software application features
Collaborate with a team of IT professionals, customers, and security teams to set specifications for new software applications
Design and test creative prototypes according to specifications and as needed
Write high-quality procedures to ensure complete installation and verification of new application/software requests
Work with both the Build and Operations teams to validate network and integration compliance, configuration, and installation approach before launch
Support Quality Assurance team in conducting functional and non-functional testing
Troubleshoot and validate new software applications
Evaluate existing applications to reprogram, update, and add new features
Develop technical documents and handbooks to accurately represent software application design
Required Qualifications:
U.S. Citizenship is required.
Eligible to acquire and maintain Government Security Clearance.
Associate degree or Equivalent experience.
Must be able to work multiple tasks in a team-based environment.
Proven experience as application developer, architect, or engineer
Experience in crafting and building applications
In-depth knowledge of programming for diverse operating systems and platforms using development tools
Excellent understanding of software design and programming principles
A great teammate who excels in communication
Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability
Great attention to detail and time-management skills
BSc/BA in computer science or relevant field; equivalent experience is acceptable and an MSc/MA will be appreciated.
Desired Qualifications:
Strong communication and team-building skills
Strong test writing skills
Knowledge in any field is a plus

This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission. Full time regular employees are eligible for paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.
Note: No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable. The amount and availability of any bonus, commission, or any other form of compensation that are allocable to a particular employee remains in the Company's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified at the Companys sole discretion, consistent with the law.
