Help Desk Support Specialist
who is on a solid career track to join our growing team at our Donaldsonville plant. This department has strong collaboration and teamwork where team members work well together yet add value independently. This is a 6+ month contract with a high probability of being extended and could lead to a permanent position at the plant.
Position Overview
As our
Help Desk Support Specialist , you are responsible for providing a point of contact for end users to receive support and maintenance within the organization's desktop computing environment. To be successful in this position, you must have excellent analytical skills and the ability to meet deadlines, multi-task and set priorities.
Position Key Areas of Responsibility
Installing, diagnosing, repairing, and upgrading all PCs and provide end-user assistanceTroubleshoot and resolve end-user issues related to computer desktop applications such as the Microsoft Office SuiteTroubleshoot and resolve issues related to desktop/laptop computers and peripheralsPerform desktop and laptop re-imaging tasksInstall computer operating systems such as Windows 7Install business software applications such as MS OfficeMaintain system inventory logsPosition Salary/Compensation
$28.00 - $32.00/hr, depending on experienceBenefits offered through Lofton Staffing as a contractorRequirements:Position Requirements
Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field preferred but not requiredMinimum of 4 years IT technician / network / help desk experience requiredMust have experience in a manufacturing environmentMust be able to independently troubleshoot and repair computer hardware including desktop computers, laptops, printers and the likeMust be fully capable of resolving technical issues with the Windows operating systems and basic network issuesMust be able to take on call every four weeksMust have a current TWIC Card
