As a Customer Systems Computer Engineer, you will run and configure diagnostic software, design experiments, analyze and interpreting data, crafting custom tools (Hardware and Software), presenting data to customers both inside and outside Micron. On occasion, you may carry out these responsibilities at customer locations!
You will work with other specialists within the Customer Systems Engineering Group, Field Application Engineering, Application Engineering, Product Engineering, Quality Assurance, and all business unit teams.
Role and Responsibilities:May build a mini-application based on customer requirements to demonstrate feasibility of the application, often requiring rapid prototyping and/or product demo for client.May provide software development and consultation to prospective users and/or product capability assessment and validation. Ensures that the product application/solution is functioning according to specifications. May provide follow-up support to company sales staff and customer personnel by disseminating technical information on specific applications.Preparing detailed product specifications for the development and implementation of customer applications/solutions.Debug Micron Product Qualification Failures
Work with customers and memory enablers to attain design wins and qualifications of Micron memory products in their applications.Provide technical support to customers and the field sales forceSupport includes applications advice, product recommendations, and technical problem resolutionVisit or contact memory enablers and production customers to detect their needs for new product featuresWork with factory marketing and applications engineering to resolve feasibility of specific new products or featuresProvide product training to the field sales force, distribution sales people, customers, and enablersWork with marketing and factory applications engineering to review and respond to product specifications by customersWork with the Sales team to coordinate, establish the account relationship and drive design activitiesDesign and Implement Micron Product Qualification Automation
Build test scriptsBuild and modify hardware that controls test parameters (i.e. temperature or voltage)Interface customer diagnostics with pre-existing automation schemeCollaborate with external customerPerform Failure Analysis (FA)
Apply diagnostics to reproduce the original failureIdentify failure mechanismCollaborate with Product Engineering and Return Material Authorization (RMA)Communicate findings with customerPerform System CharacterizationUse software, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes and other tools to understand memory usageDevelop software to interpret dataCommunicate resultsQualification and Education:
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Computer ScienceExperience and the passion to work in a Computer Lab on hardware/software.High speed memory knowledge, transmission line analysis, simulation tools, software scripting, Oscilloscopes, Logic analyzers, HBM product knowledge is desirable.
