IT EPIC Cadence/Prelude Application Analyst

Design and present solutions and options that improve patient care, enhance patient engagement, improve operational efficiency organizational knowledge with thoughtful design. Reviews and analyzes systems including testing and documenting Epic applications. Understands system options and configurations completely and can suggest and lead teams through decisions on the best way to configure and utilize the system.
The Epic Application Analyst acts as a subject matter expert in design, configuration and building one or more technologies of moderate to high complexity.
Responsibilities
* This is a remote opportunity
Designs, builds, tests, implements, and supports information technology solutions to meet operational and clinical needs.
Responsible for delivering project assignments of medium to high complexity which includes application design, and configuration build. Works closely with customers to document requirements and communicate effectively with customers and peers to implement changes.
Supports/maintains day-to-day existing functionality/programs/applications.
Performs intermediate system analysis and troubleshooting to implement new functionality/programs/applications, and to analyze/research vendor release notes and documentation; understanding complete end-to-end system integration.
Creates thorough system design and build documentation. Analyze the functionality of the system and how it fits or not with operations; The ability to troubleshoot basic problems and recommend and take appropriate action as required. Translate high-level business requirements to detailed technical designs/documentation.
Collaborates with other analysts, staff, vendors, and leadership. Meet with department heads and executives on a routine basis to identify and prioritize their needs.
Leads application management activities for a single functional area to achieve project objectives.
Manages product lifecycle management, end user enhancement requests of moderate to high complexity, and technical aspects of the modules/applications that are assigned.
Assists in identifying any barriers to adoption of clinical practice.
Performs a variety of tasks to support the organizational initiatives.
Facilitates performance improvement for the effective use of information technology.
Supports business/clinical operations with clinical and financial end users. Supporting continued system maintenance and optimization.
On-call coverage (after business hours and weekends) is required, on a rotational basis or as-needed. Some travel required, both locally and overnight.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related field; 4 years of equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of Bachelor's degree.
2 years of relevant experience required in one of the following areas: Clinical, operational, application support and implementation. Development experience with applications in a hospital or medical related industry is required
Knowledge of troubleshooting hardware and software
Experience working with project life cycle or project management methodologies is required.
Advanced understanding and comfort leading business and technology partners through a structured deployment and/or implementation life cycle and support model. This includes technical requirement gathering, specification development and creation of design and system test plans as well as
advanced understanding of technology projects and concepts as they relate to high level business objectives and ability to present those concepts to both IT And non-IT Audiences in concise and easily understandable manner is required.
EPIC certification for the area in which you support ( Cadence/Prelude ) is required or required within 4 months of employment.
Ongoing maintenance of Epic certification(s) required.
