Job Title: LFI Senior Business Analyst Location: CityScape What you'll do: The LFI Senior Business Analyst will be part of a team within Business Data Governance to prepare for Large Financial Institution (LFI) status, playing a critical role in driving data-driven decision-making across the organization. They must possess a working knowledge of Reg YY and other related reporting regulations (i.e., FR 2052a, FR Y-14, FR Y-15, etc.). This individual will work with a team dedicated to developing, testing, and executing data for LFI readiness. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, expertise in data manipulation/data validation, and the ability to communicate complex findings in a clear and concise manner. What we are looking for: The candidate will work on reviewing business requirements documents, creating and executing test cases, identifying defects, and working with technology teams to remediate defects. Development of business data requirements and rules as required by FRB regulations for a Category IV institution and to reflect changes in the business requirements documents. Experience with key regulatory reporting including Call Reporting, FR Y-14, FR Y-15, and FR 2052a. Work closely with various Project Teams to report and resolve any issues. Manage and participate in workshops to flesh out and problem-solve certain requirements, defects, or questions. Lead the design, build, and maintenance of advanced dashboards and reporting tools to monitor key business performance metrics. Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to inform business strategy and operational improvements. Provide recommendations based on data analysis to help drive business decisions. Work closely with business units to understand reporting and analytical needs. Translate business questions into analytical tasks and provide solutions that drive strategic decisions. Present analytical findings and recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders. Design and implement systems to ensure data accuracy and reliability by performing thorough validation and quality checks. Collaborate with IT teams to enhance data infrastructure and improve data accessibility. Ability to query data in Azure SQL-based databases. Provide input into Technology's deliverables to ensure the Technology's implementation success. Engage with Enterprise Data Governance with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) work to validate build of data stores is capturing source data feeds accurately for consumption. May help train other junior members of the team. What you need to have: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Technology, or another related field. Master's degree in a relevant field is a plus. Minimum of 3 years of experience with increasing responsibility in regulatory compliance or other areas at a bank, relevant accounting, capital, liquidity, and/or public accounting advisory experience. Working knowledge of Reg YY and other related regulations or strong willingness to spend significant effort learning (e.g. FR 2052a, FR Y-14, FR Y-15). Strong knowledge of data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel) and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with large, complex data sets. Strong project management skills and ability to handle multiple priorities. Experience with predictive modeling, statistical analysis, or machine learning is a plus.
