The HR Operations Advisor position is integral and crucial to the success of the Human Resources function and the larger organization. It will oversee all aspects of HR Technology Systems (HRIS), Benefits Administration, Compensation Programs, and Onboarding Processes within the organization. This position will have comprehensive knowledge in these areas and be able to execute both strategic and tactical responsibilities. The emphasis will be on confident and effective leadership of HR systems implementation, business process efficiencies, and ongoing maintenance of HR management systems and employee portals.
This is not just a position but a hands-on role. The HR Operations Advisor will actively implement and optimize key HR technology and process areas, serving as a strategic partner to business leadership. This role is required to be onsite at our Bay Shore, NY location.
Tasks included but not limited to:
HR Technology Systems (HRIS)Lead the configuration, optimization, and management of HR technology systems to support efficient workflows and ensure data integrityPerform regular audits to maintain data accuracy and compliance within HR systemsCollaborate with IT and vendors for system enhancements and troubleshootingEnsure maintenance of all HR data and database integrity through regular system auditsIdentify and evaluate state-of-the-art technologies to optimize self-service capabilitiesMonitor system performance metrics and implement improvements based on data analysisBenefits Administration
Oversee all aspects of benefit plan administration, including health, dental, vision, and retirement plansManage annual enrollment processes and maintain strong vendor partnershipsTrack and report on benefits utilization and effectivenessProvide strategic recommendations for benefits program enhancement based on market analysisEnsure compliance with benefits-related regulations and requirementsDevelop and implement communication strategies for benefits programsCompensation Strategy & Programs
Assist with the design and implementation of compensation strategies and systems that promote pay equity and align with performance, business goals and strategy, and market standardsConduct salary surveys and benchmarking activities to maintain competitive compensation practicesProvide recommendations for compensation adjustments based on market dataDevelop and maintain job evaluation systems and salary structuresEnsure compliance with compensation-related regulations and requirementsPartner with leadership to align compensation strategies with business objectivesOnboarding Processes
Oversee and continually improve onboarding processes across all locations and functionsWork with cross-functional teams to create and maintain comprehensive onboarding schedulesDevelop and update onboarding materials and resourcesImplement improvements based on feedback and metricsEnsure consistency in onboarding experience across locationsMonitor onboarding effectiveness through regular audits and feedback collectionAdditional Responsibilities:
Support employee relations by guiding conflict resolution and policy adherenceAssist in driving performance management processes and coaching managersEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local employment lawsCoordinate HR-led training sessions on key topicsManage HR projects from planning through executionDevelop KPIs and monitor service-level agreements with key stakeholdersContinuously review and evaluate internal operating processes for effectivenessQualifications:
Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related fieldProfessional certification (SHRM-CP, PHR) required5-7 years of progressive experience in human resources, with demonstrated expertise in HRIS, benefits administration, compensation, and onboarding processesExperience in a manufacturing or multi-location setting is preferredTechnical Skills
Advanced proficiency in HRIS platforms (such as ADP Workforce Now or comparable systems)Strong data analysis capabilities and experience with HR metricsProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteExperience with project management softwareProfessional Competencies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to draw insights from dataExcellent written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated ability to build relationships across all organizational levelsStrong project management capabilitiesDetail-oriented with excellent organizational skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamChange management expertiseCustomer service orientationAdditional Requirements
Must be results-oriented with demonstrated follow-throughAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong business acumen and strategic thinking capabilitiesProven track record of process improvement and innovationSalary: $70,000-$90,000_______________ _ _ _ _ _ _
