Workday Business Applications Senior ArchitectThe Business Applications Senior Architect is responsible for acting as a business analyst and as a liaison between our IT department, department heads, and users of our various business applications, including the ERP system (Workday/UKG). Key skills required include leadership, conducting business analysis, discovery, requirements gathering, conference room pilots, authoring functional design documents, as-is studies, swim lane diagrams, and participating in complex full lifecycle implementations of business applications involving implementation consultants, subject matter experts, project managers, product owners, and other participants. Experience with managing a team and supporting, maintaining, and enhancing ERP systems is required. Experience in the healthcare field is desired but not required. Strong documentation skills are essential. Ability to think creatively and help develop best practice solutions for a variety of business process workflows and communicate options effectively is required. Working collaboratively within an agile project management environment is required.The candidate must live in one of the following states: WI, CA, GA, FL, MN, IL, CO, PA, TN, or WA.Job Duties & Responsibilities:Provide business analysis expertise to document, solution, and help design solutions with a special emphasis on ERP, and the business intelligence and data integration requirements related to the ERP.Gather functional requirements for data integrations with finance systems (e.g., Workday, Axiom Financial Web Portal, UKG, and outside vendors and services).Determine and communicate best practices and solution options as part of functional design documents and communication with Strategists.Ensure the security of HR and Payroll information through established security protocols and direct work with RBH Security Team.Demonstrate leadership skills in overseeing solution-related development, implementation, and support processes within the business application, business intelligence, and data integration support team.Maintain domain integrity by testing solutions, collaborating with internal team members and business customers on necessary technical requirements, and proactively reducing defects and downtime.Maintain knowledge of third-party software vendors to leverage complementary offerings and effectively compare/contrast solutions.Provide current best practices and solutions alternatives as part of functional or technical design documents.Communicate complex topics regarding solutions and related projects to audiences of all disciplines.Develop technical skills required to optimize and maintain applications as a domain knowledge expert.Participate with the larger data and integrations solution development team using agile approaches to deliver value to the organization in a timely fashion.Education/Training Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Information Technology, or related field.Management experience leading a team of functional application specialists in maintaining and supporting business applications.Knowledge and experience of Human Resources and Payroll related applications, business functions, and healthcare industry best practices.A minimum of five (5) years' experience in supporting and implementing information technology solutions preferred.Strong documentation skills including authoring project plans, functional design documents, as-is business analysis studies, and user guides (job aids).Experience in Agile methodology or other lean methodology is desired.Ability to work quickly and effectively in a fast-paced detail-oriented environment while adhering to deadlines.Excellence in verbal and written communications skills including ability to provide high quality demonstrations of new functionality and effectively translate customer specifications to a usable configuration.Valid driver license.
