Starting at $18/hourJob Summary:The Site Director reports to the Area Club Director and is responsible for managing the overall daily operations of an extension Club site with the primary focus on programs and service delivery, supervision and training of staff, community relations and membership administration. This individual will work closely with the Site Leaders, advising and assisting them in the areas of program instruction and staff management. The Site Director will also supervise and evaluate all programs and activities provided in the Club Site, such as Education, Special Programs, Social Recreation, Arts & Crafts and Physical Education.
Essential Job Responsibilities:Leadership:• Recruit, select, manage, and provide career development opportunities for branch staff and volunteers.• Provide leadership and direction to Site Leaders in the supervision of their designated Sites. Attends and participates in any partnering agency meetings and keeps administration advised of issues.• Ensure an environment that facilitates achievement of Youth Development Outcomes, with overall responsibility for maintaining cleanliness, attractiveness and safety of partners properties and equipment.Prepare Youth for Success:• Plans and oversees the administration of designated Site programs and activities that support Youth Development Outcomes.• Ensure that members are encouraged to participate in a variety of educational program areas/activities and receive instruction and constructive feedback to develop skills in the designated program areas.Program Development and Implementation:• Establish and maintain Site program goals and settings to ensure the health and safety of members.• Ensure that site staff understand and effectively communicate standards of programs.• Ensure the evaluation of Site programs on a continual basis and ensures program/activities respond to member needs.Partnership Development:• Serve as primary liaison between BGCCC and our partnering agency to ensure good working relations exist with Plano ISD.• Develop collaborative partnerships with public, civic groups and social agencies within the community. Represents the organization and effectively advocates organization’s objectives, standards, and programs.Marketing and Public Relations:• Increase visibility of Site’s Educational programs via posting of daily schedule, announcements of upcoming events and dissemination of timely information for the development of advertising and promotion through mailings, fliers, and media releases.Skills & Knowledge Required:• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience.• Minimum (5) years of work experience in a Boys and Girls Club or similar organization planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of young people.• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.• Ability to recruit, train, supervise, and motivate staff.• Ability to deal effectively with members’ discipline problems.• Working knowledge of budget preparation, control, and management.• Skilled in inspiring and motivating team members.• Demonstrated leadership skills.
