It is located in the DISA - JOINT FORCES HEADQUARTERS - DODIN.Learn more about this agencyThis job is open to:The publicU.S. Citizens, Nationals or those who owe allegiance to the U.S.Clarification from the agency: ALL U.S. Citizens.DutiesServes as the Director of the Personnel and Security Directorate (J1).Plans overall work of the organization, including establishing goals, objectives, and priorities for subordinate organizations, allocating resources to meet priorities and budget constraints.Assigns work to subordinate organizations while ensuring subordinate supervisors review their employees’ work for technical adequacy and compliance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.Supervise subordinate supervisors while providing all facets of civilian and military personnel management to include human resources, performance management, employee relations, and manpower.Provides expert advice, assistance, program development, management, and evaluation in all areas of civilian personnel and workforce management to include strategic human capital planning and management; workforce planning and restructuring.Requirements Conditions of EmploymentMust be a U.S. Citizen.Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service.This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.The incumbent may be subject to initial and random drug testing for this position.QualificationsIn order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.Qualifying ExperienceTo qualify at the GG-15, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. Experience within an organization of planning, organizing, and directing as it pertains to human resources, personnel practices, and manpower for military and civilians.Candidates must describe how they meet the qualifying experience and/or selective placement factor(s) within the body of their resume. All qualifications must be met within 30 days after the closing date of this announcement.EducationThere is no substitution of education for the qualifying experience at the GG-15 grade level.Additional InformationThis position is in the Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service.
