Regional Marketing Manager

position. Location : Mountain View CA Pay Range:

$95,000.00 - $115,000.00 annually Other forms of compensation: bonus eligible Role Summary: This role reports directly to the Regional Director of Marketing, Communication & Engagement (MCE), Bay Area, for the Compass at Google account. In partnership with the Director and peers for Compass, this individual develops and deploys marketing/communications strategy for the Food program. Key areas of focus include spearheading MCE strategies, innovative pilots, campaigns and partnerships, driving user advocacy and managing community sentiment, and ultimately enabling Compass teams to excel in operational and hospitality excellence. The Regional Marketing Manager oversees the implementation of marketing and communications work streams including campaigns, storytelling, strategic communications, events and experiential marketing in a majority of the Bay Area business. To do this, the Regional Marketing Manager builds and maintains relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders and partners, leveraging strong communication skills and a solutions-oriented mindset to create alignment and ensure effective collaboration. This role takes a full funnel and data-driven approach to marketing, moving target audiences from a state of awareness to a state of advocacy and measuring quantifiable and qualitative results along the way to inform future decisions. The Regional Marketing Manager works with a team of multidisciplinary marketing team members to efficiently deliver key results against objectives outlined in both the Food program and Compass marketing plans. This role leads project teams of non-reports, and heavily collaborates with other marketing leaders at Compass outside of the Bay Area (Americas, APAC & EMEA and global teams), Global marketing teams at Compass and with other vendor partners that serve the Food program. The great things you can expect to do: Integrated marketing & communication for the Food program:

Create and deploy integrated marketing and communications strategy and initiatives to achieve Food program goals with a focus on communicating program intentionality, building trust and collaboration and increasing brand awareness. Oversee the success of key communications channels such as websites and apps, email/newsletters, social media, signage, search and ads, and events (digital and in-person) and steward the program brand.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

Maintain strong and collaborative relationships with stakeholders ranging from C-suite leaders to local operations management who work for multiple companies and teams in this ecosystem including Compass at Google, Compass sector leadership, and other vendor partner companies. Regularly partner with stakeholders to co-create strategy and troubleshoot to overcome shared obstacles. Lead proactive communication on behalf of the team to keep stakeholders informed of key progress and priorities and to identify opportunities for further alignment.

Innovation & Insights:

Regularly analyze available data and use insights to inform future strategy and implementation. Lead teams to better understand current and future users and to consistently use data to inform all actions and points of view. Investigate, research and deeply understand both current trends and future forecasts in integrated marketing, brand marketing, experiential marketing, strategic communications and digital communications which may contribute to the continual improvement of the Compass at Google program marketing and communications strategy. Provide actionable and creative ideas to integrate these insights into this ecosystem.

Leadership:

Serve as a positive example of both Compass and Food program values and exemplify courageous leadership for the marketing team and the broader organization. Lead teams to outperform expectations while upholding a collaborative, safe, equitable and fun team culture. Coach and develop direct reports and other team members.

Qualifications: Proven expertise (8+ years) in integrated marketing, strategic communications, or marketing and communications strategy gained through formal education and/or relevant work experience.

Passion for leading teams to outperform expectations, direct management experience of multiple reports preferred.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including storytelling experience.

Demonstrated experience leading work in both internal and external communications.

Proven background in developing brand marketing, strategic communications or related strategy and activating and executing supporting initiatives.

Ability to analyze and evaluate information to communicate concise trends and recommendations to enhance brand equity and performance.

Ability to collaboratively problem-solve and continuously iterate to navigate ambiguity and complexity in a fast-paced organization/environment.

Ability to quickly gain and maintain credibility and trust with a diverse group of partners ranging from C-suite leaders to front-line workers.

Working knowledge of Google Suite products (docs, sheets, slides, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications: Proven track record of business to consumer marketing, building brand awareness and conversion and ultimately trust, through a customer insights led marketing strategies.

Commercially focused with ability to demonstrate impact and results.

Strong interpersonal skills, self-starter, leads with values, agility, courage and resilience.

Clear understanding of balancing relationship building and service of client organization with working inside strategy and approach of own company.

Experience with leadership communications, risk communications, and incident response team (IRT) protocol.

Experience supporting a multi-site operational business model/ multi-category.

Experience supporting operations in multiple cultures or countries - note if multiple languages are spoken.

A passion for delicious, nutritious and sustainable food.
