Gainwell Technologies is seeking an experienced and innovative Data Scientist to assist the Payment Integrity Organization’s Machine Learning and Generative AI team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the development and maintenance of machine learning pipelines that are based on modern ML approaches. This will require an understanding of algorithms that can include regression models, tree-based algorithms, deep learning architectures, and large language models. You will utilize your knowledge in these areas to support cross-functional teams across the organization. A key component of this role is the ability to implement practical machine learning solutions that increase efficiency and produce an actualized impact on revenue growth.Your role in our mission
Software Engineering:
Experience automating machine learning algorithms. Develop end-to-end machine learning pipelines that can be implemented in production.Algorithmic Design:
Formulize analytics solutions and evaluate strategies for ongoing improvement.Performance Optimization:
Implement scalable solutions that can run in production on large volumes of data while minimizing latency. Knowledge of GPU architectures and experience using GPU clusters in AWS, Azure, or GCP preferred. Knowledge of machine learning platforms including Databricks or similar preferred but not required.Compliance & Security:
Work with leadership to ensure data practices comply with regulatory requirements and that data security is maintained at the highest standards.Reporting & Visualization:
Create dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that describe ML prototyping, tracking, and outcomes that can be used for actionable insights.What we're looking for
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in statistics, data science, analytics, or related roles.Knowledge of foundational large language models including BERT and GPT.Experience within healthcare data systems or payment integrity space and analytics is preferred.Experience using machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn, pandas, and numpy with strong proficiency in Python and SQL required.Experience using deep learning libraries based on Tensorflow and Pytorch. Understanding of asynchronous, concurrent, and parallel processing preferred.What you should expect in this role
Remote work within the United States.The pay range for this position is $79,400.00 - $113,400.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
