Description:Please Note:This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration.This position will involve around 10% travel to our customer sites throughout the U.S.What We’re Doing:Our Team, the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) Global team, is engineering, developing and integrating new capability for the Missile Defense System that currently protects the United States and its allies. The team, as a whole, is very large but is broken down into many smaller agile teams that work together in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Our team is also responsible for tasks such as Sensor/Weapon Integration, Algorithm Development, User Interface Development, Automated Testing, Cyber Security and enhancing other critical, leading-edge missile defense technologies.The Work:As a Automation Engineer/System Administrator on the team, you will provide support for C2BMC Global customers by troubleshooting and remedying a wide variety of technical issues on both Linux and Windows systems. Additionally, you’ll be creating custom tools using shell scripts including Bash and PowerShell and automation tools such as Ansible to create efficiencies, productivity, and quality by reducing the need for manual processes. Typical duties include automating the configuring and management of Linux and Windows Operating systems to include implementing operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance; installing software; applying and enforcing security policies; and deploying and maintaining virtual machines in a complex, hyperconverged infrastructure.Who We Are:As leader of the C2BMC team, Lockheed Martin directs a partnership of highly responsive industry leaders developing and fielding the backbone of America’s missile defense. 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per weekPay Rate:The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $78,500 - $150,400. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.Benefits offered:
