Our diverse, vibrant, and welcoming community is essential in driving our success.Product Manager IIIWorking within the Partner Product global product team (Distribution & Supply, or “D&S”), you will be responsible for helping to define the future of Expedia Group’s lodging platform. Please note: this role is based in Seattle.In this role, you will:Inform product strategy based on market trends, threats, and opportunities. You will own a product roadmap supported by multiple engineering teams across the globe.
Drive the strategy and vision to evolve the lodging inventory platform that we build to power our Marketplace and service lodging suppliers globally.
Leverage your understanding of new technologies such as machine learning, streaming, and big data, to create amazing products that solve very concrete user problems.
Collaborate across product groups (inventory and other supply platform teams), working with stakeholders to collaboratively develop feature definitions.
Define, track and manage the product line strategy, backlog, and roadmap.
Set, track, analyze and communicate the business goals for lodging inventory product, with a focus on optimizing and enhancing systems, providing a single point of contact between technology and stakeholders.
Exhibit a sense of ownership for the success of the product.
Coordinate with stakeholders across Expedia Group to drive integration of strategic initiatives and help to resolve resource and scheduling conflicts on cross-functional teams.
Cultivate effective relationships with key internal business teams, with a special focus on building bridges within the supply experiences organizations, connectivity and user interfaces, and lodging partner relationships.
Work closely with technical leaders and architects to understand how to develop innovative, sustaining and disruptive new capabilities.
Collaborate with the development teams as the voice of the customer and lodging partner. Work closely with business and technology teams to prioritize and schedule enhancements and fixes to existing functionality.
Track emerging trends in the technology and lodging industries and drive best practices in product environment.
Experience and QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related technical field; or Equivalent related professional experience.
5+ years’ experience defining product features in response to overall business strategy and delivering those features to market.
5+ years’ experience decomposing, communicating, and prioritizing business requirements for technical teams in a role such as Product Manager or Business Analyst.
High-level understanding of software engineering practices is a requirement (caching, release cycle, integration).
Initiative-taker with demonstrated strengths managing products in complex, multi-project delivery environments.
Ability to evangelize and articulate technical products to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Proven skills at cultivating strong working relationships, and driving collaboration across multiple business and technical teams.
Proven influencing skills: the ability to manage expectations of business partners while maintaining productive relationships.
Proven knowledge of e-commerce standards and best practices (experience with pricing is a plus).
The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $137,500.00 to $192,500.00.
