A leading global energy storage optimizer is hiring a Software Project Manager.The primary function of this role is to accelerate our software products delivery and support our development teams. The role will be an integral part of the Software Engineering teams in Research and Development, supporting new product development initiatives in the field of energy storage and energy optimization.The location for this position is Herndon, Virginia. This position will be a hybrid work structure where the employee can work remotely or from the office, with the expectation of 2 days onsite in Herndon.Required Skills & Experience
3-5 years of experienceAgile EnvironmentMeet regularly with stakeholders for backlog grooming and prioritization of upcoming efforts.Capture the vision of what we are building and then accelerate the realization of that vision by keeping the priorities organized.Manage the interdependence between new feature development and Software Engineering group’s software release schedules, ensuring successful execution of our product roadmap.Develop and maintain the roadmaps, tracking progress and reporting regularly.Work with technical experts to develop project scopes and objectives to ensure technical feasibility.Ensure resource availability and allocation.Perform risk management notifying stakeholders of expected results as soon as possible.Maintain comprehensive documentation.The candidate must be able to embrace the fast and dynamic environment and be comfortable with adjusting quickly to changing priorities.Desired Skills & Experience
Embedded software experienceExperienced working in STEM context.Prior experience with production systems running advanced statistical algorithms and machine learning.Strong leadership record with active participation in renewable energy associations, forums, clubs, or groups.The Offer
