You'll design, develop, and optimize core systems that power millions of transactions daily, directly impacting our customers' experiences and our company's success.Your day-to-dayDesign and develop scalable backend systems.Optimize system performance and reliability.Mentor junior engineers.What do you need to bringBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.3-5 years of backend development experience.Proficiency in at least one backend language (Python).Advanced proficiency in backend development with Python frameworks, including Django or Flask.Experience designing and implementing RESTful services, focusing on scalability and reliability, using Python.Proven ability to mentor junior engineers and contribute to code reviews and design discussions.Understanding of algorithmic techniques, design patterns.Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).Strong understanding of database design, including SQL and NoSQL databases, and experience with ORM tools.Preferred QualificationsExperience with large-scale, high-performance systems.Knowledge of the payment processing industry and relevant regulations.Contributions to open-source projects.Additional Job Description:PayPal is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
