We are seeking a highly motivated and talented

Data Scientist

to join our Linehaul team. As a Data Scientist, you will play a crucial role in driving data-driven decision-making and optimizing our LTL network operations. You will leverage advanced data science techniques to uncover valuable insights, develop predictive models, and implement innovative solutions that enhance efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.Responsibilities:Data Acquisition and Analysis:

Gather, clean, and prepare large datasets from various sources within the LTL network.Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies.Develop and implement data pipelines for efficient data processing and analysis.

Machine Learning and Predictive Modeling:

Develop and deploy predictive models to forecast demand, optimize routes, and improve operational efficiency.Utilize machine learning techniques (e.g., regression, classification, clustering) to solve complex business problems.Evaluate model performance and iterate on improvements.

Data-Driven Insights:

Translate complex data insights into actionable recommendations for business stakeholders.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data-driven solutions.Communicate findings effectively through clear and concise visualizations and presentations.

Network Optimization:

Analyze network performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.Develop optimization models to optimize route planning, load balancing, and resource allocation.Implement strategies to reduce costs and improve service levels.

Innovation and Research:

Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science and machine learning.Explore new technologies and methodologies to drive innovation within the LTL industry.

Qualifications:Education:

Master's degree or equivalent in computer science, statistics, operations research, industrial engineering, applied mathematics, or a related field.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in applying data science techniques to solve real-world business problems, preferably within the transportation industry.

Technical Skills:

Strong proficiency in programming languages like Python or R.Expertise in data science libraries and tools (e.g., pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow).Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and big data technologies.

Analytical Skills:

Ability to analyze complex data sets and extract meaningful insights.Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Communication Skills:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Collaboration Skills:

Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and build strong relationships with cross-functional teams.
