Required: At least five years of experience at a law firm or accounting firm performing income tax work, with at least some experience in a combination of real estate taxation (Section 1031 exchanges especially), taxation of trusts/estates, and taxation of pass-thru entities.Required: Familiarity with all aspects of Microsoft Office, with a particular emphasis on Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; mastery of Microsoft Office preferred.Strongly Preferred: Authorship of an IRS Circular 230-compliant tax opinion.Strongly Preferred: Demonstrable history of direct client contact, project management, or supervision and training of younger staff.Preferred: Master of Laws in Taxation from NYU, Georgetown, Boston U., or Miami.Preferred: Dual-licensed attorney/CPAs.Preferred: Experience performing employee benefits taxation work.Preferred: Experience in any of the following areas: Qualified Opportunity Zones, fiduciary income tax, cross-border corporate tax, taxation of bankruptcy, or taxation of mergers and acquisitions.Experience with Clio a plus.
