Senior Medical Science Liaison, US Medical Affairs, HIV Treatment & Prevention (Rhode Island/Connecticut) This field-based Senior Medical Science Liaison (MSL) will be part of a team of Medical Science Liaisons reporting to a regional Field Director. The MSL will disseminate clinical information about Gilead’s innovative HIV Treatment & Prevention products to key opinion leaders, academic institutions, community group practices, healthcare professionals (including allied healthcare members), and professional organizations. *The level/Title of the position will be determined by education and years of experience. A Senior MSL requires 2+ years of experience, with a relevant degree. We will consider candidates with less than 2 years of experience with the relevant degree for an entry-level MSL role and candidates with more than 8 years of experience with the relevant degree at the principal level. Responsibilities

Provides independent thought and initiative in the preparation and completion of a variety of projects and ensuing reports. Uses a degree of autonomy as needed in the preparation and completion of projects and reports. Establishes relationships with sales teams and with external contacts and is expected to participate in special projects based on extensive knowledge base, experience, and competency. Anticipates obstacles and difficulties that may arise in the field and resolves them in a collaborative manner. Utilizes scientific resources to deliver impactful presentations in a variety of different settings. Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills. Sought out for advice and collaboration by others from within and outside Gilead. Must have the ability to work as a member of several teams that may overlap such as a national MS team, regional sales team, national accounts, and others. Specific Education & Experience Requirements:

Advanced degree (i.e., MD, DO, PharmD, PhD, NP/PA) required. HIV Therapeutic area experience required. Relevant experience should include clinical practice experience in a related field, experience of 5 years or more is preferred. Clinical practice experience within the therapeutic area of interest is preferred. Industry experience preferred. Clinical patient contact experience is required. Valid driver's license is required. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives, paid time off, and a benefits package.
