We are looking for a dynamic Medical Affairs Director with a passion for medical communication and supporting scientific partnerships. Reporting directly to the CEO, this position will be a key role in the organization with a span of responsibilities that include engaging with scientific advisors, creating clinical content for dissemination in advocacy efforts, speaking events and publications, and advancing Empatica’s thought leadership in clinical research and digital health.You will:Cultivate and expand Empatica’s network of clinical and scientific advisorsLead development and execution of strategy for scientific content generation and disseminationSupport advocacy work to advance adoption of new healthcare technologyWork cross-functionally with Business Development, Data Science, and Marketing teams to advance thought leadership through publications, white papers, and blog postsSupport advocacy efforts for reimbursement of Empatica products and services, including coordination of health economic and outcomes research (HEOR)Review marketing communications and customer-facing materials to ensure that content is evidence-based and clinically accurateServe as a clinical subject matter expert in Empatica discussions with external clients and partnersThis position will be based in our Boston office, with flexible options for partial at-home work.You are the ideal person for this job if you have:An advanced clinical degree (MD, DO, PhD, PharmD) and a minimum of 3 years in medical affairs or a related fieldExcellent written and oral communication skills in the English languageDemonstrated expertise in the generation and review of medical communicationsEnthusiasm for building relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs)Ability to work independently and collaboratively, depending on the project, in a fast-paced start-up environmentStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to evolving prioritiesA passion for Empatica’s products and missionResilience, a get-things-done attitude, and an innate desire to do great workNice to have:Clinical background in Neurology, Cardiology, Sleep Medicine, Mental Health, or OncologyDirect experience in managing advisory boards and KOL networksDirect experience in working with payers and/or health systems on ROI metrics, including patient engagement and HEOR dataWe hope you're feeling excited about the job, and even if you don't feel that you meet every single requirement, we still encourage you to apply.
