Must be a licensed attorney in good standing with the California State Bar.Able to make court appearances in the counties you will serve.A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in family courtsWell versed in California family law statutesResponsibilities
Conduct consultations with potential new clients (PNCs) and secure their representation.Provide legal advice on various family law matters.Handle cases from inception through trial and/or mediation and depositions.Communicate with clients and advise them at key junctures so they fully understand their options and can make fully informed decisions.Uphold a steady schedule of hearings, court appearances and conferences.Be involved with trial proceedings working with support staff in organizing evidence, preparing exhibits, scheduling witnesses, and ensuring witnesses are ready and prepared when needed.Organize and record all official documents required to file cases.Oversee and analyze discovery and legal pleadings drafted by the legal team.Provide feedback and guidance to create stronger work product and streamlined processes.Document six (6) billable hours each business day (or average thirty (30) hours per week).
