When you join our Accounting Advisory (AA) practice, you will partner directly with our clients to help them navigate strategic technical accounting and financial reporting matters associated with significant business growth or events – such as carve-outs, IPO, merger, or accounting function transformation. At its core, the work we do in AA is driven by change, which means that the projects are dynamic in nature and the impact of your leadership will be highly visible.As an Associate Director in our newly formed Accounting Consulting Group (ACG) within AA, you will have the unique opportunity to partner with engagement teams across the firm to provide specialized support on complex accounting issues. You will develop deep subject-matter expertise at an accelerated pace by working on a variety of projects and issues for clients across industries and thought partnering with leaders across Riveron’s practice areas. In addition, as a foundational member of ACG, you will have a critical voice in influencing the direction of the group’s scope and responsibilities. Who You Are:
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting or related field of studyTechnical experience across a broad range of accounting issues, including implementing new accounting standards, working through complex transactions, and exposure to highly technical SEC reporting issuesMinimum 10 years of experience within an audit, technical accounting and/or industry accounting roleAdvanced knowledge of accounting standards such as GAAP, GAAS, and/or IFRSYou enjoy collaborating with colleagues in a high performing cultureYou thrive in an ever-changing, dynamic work environmentYou gravitate towards challenges, readily identify problems, and instinctively look for solutionsYou believe that exceeding client expectations and having fun at work are mutually dependentYou enjoy participating in internal and external company initiatives such as community service, training, recruiting, committees, ERGs, conference panels, and firm eventsWhat You’ll Do:
Advise engagement teams on complex accounting matters across a variety of client sizes, industries, and transactionsPartner with clients to resolve critical accounting issues and enable successful completion of audits, capital markets transactions, and GAAP/IFRS reportingContinuously develop subject-matter expertise and contribute thought leadership related to complex accounting issues relevant to finance leaders across industriesParticipate actively in team member development and foster a team-based working culture by delivering ongoing coaching, training, and performance feedbackIdentify opportunities for revenue growth and service expansion with existing clients and partner with the practice’s executive leaders to conduct business development activities
The expected pay range for this position is $120,000 - $210,000 (exclusive of bonus, equity, or benefits for which this role may be eligible). This range takes into account a variety of factors that are considered in making individual compensation decisions including but not limited to experience and training; skill sets; licensure and certifications; location and other business and organizational needs; and applicable laws.
