UPG Electrical is currently seeking a Sales Director to join our team and play a pivotal role in our division's success. Reporting to the Director of Business Development, this position offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Business Development:
Proactively pursue new business opportunities, both spot business and contractual, to expand our market presence. Revenue Growth:
Take ownership of increasing revenue in targeted accounts through strategic planning and effective sales techniques. Relationship Building:
Build consensus, secure commitments, and successfully close business deals while maintaining strong professional relationships with clients. Continuous Learning:
Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements by attending workshops, reviewing publications, and participating in relevant associations and events. Prospecting:
Identify and capitalize on new business prospects, maximizing growth opportunities in the market. Market Intelligence:
Conduct competitive market analysis, adjust positioning, and work towards growing market leadership. Sales Forecasting:
Analyze and forecast sales trends, sales dollars, and communicate competitive situations to inform strategic decision-making. Customer Retention:
Enhance and maintain our sales position with existing customers through routine and effective communication. Strategic Planning:
Contribute to the development and execution of strategic business plans to drive long-term success. Collaboration:
Work closely with Client Services Associate (Inside Sales) to ensure customer requirements are met. Quality Management:
Serve as the interface for addressing customer quality issues, ensuring prompt and satisfactory resolutions. Position Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree required. At least 3 years of outside steel sales experience, with specific experience in coil and sheet metal. Responsible for selling within the motor and appliance market. Expertise in thin gauge cold rolled steel is greatly desired. Service the Midwest region with 50-80% travel required. Expected to make an immediate impact. Diversity & Inclusion Statement
