Draft, review, and file necessary motions and responses during litigation.Trials and Arbitrations:
Prepare for and participate in trials and arbitrations as required, gaining practical courtroom experience.Communication with Key Stakeholders:
Engage with clients, employers, and opposing counsel to facilitate resolution of cases and provide legal guidance.Court Appearances:
Attend court hearings in Los Angeles County and surrounding areas, ensuring timely and professional court presence. Travel may be required for out-of-county appearances.Review Legal Documents:
Review new and ongoing legal pleadings to ensure accuracy and completeness before filing with the respective courts.Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.Active license to practice law in California.Comfortable appearing in court and managing court appearances independently.Ability to travel as needed for court appearances in nearby counties.Additional licensing in other states (MO, IA, NE, ID, CA, WA, OR, AK, HI, NV) is a plus.Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.Certifications:Active license to practice law in California.Additional state licensure is desirable but not required.Skills:Strong written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency in drafting legal motions and court filings.Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and meet deadlines.Experience with or willingness to participate in trials and arbitrations.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
