A law firm seeks a dedicated Estates Lawyer to join its team in Denver, CO. This full-time position is ideal for an attorney with extensive experience in probate, wills, trusts, and estate planning. The successful candidate will manage a high volume of clients, handle contested probate matters, and offer comprehensive estate planning services to individuals across various financial backgrounds. The firm’s core values of mastery, purpose, and autonomy are central to its operations, and the ideal candidate will align with these principles while providing exceptional legal support, particularly for veteran clients.Duties:Provide expert legal counsel on probate, wills, trusts, and estate planning matters in Colorado.Manage a high volume of clients, ensuring efficient handling of probate matters and estate planning services.Address contested probate situations and guide clients through the litigation process.Develop and implement comprehensive estate plans tailored to the unique needs of each client.Offer specialized estate planning advice for veterans and veteran-owned businesses.Assist clients with the preparation of wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.Represent clients in probate court hearings and proceedings as needed.Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients regarding case status, legal options, and timelines.Manage all aspects of estate administration, including asset distribution, creditor claims, and tax matters.Requirements:A minimum of 5 years of experience in probate law, estate planning, and related practice areas in Colorado.Comprehensive knowledge of Colorado probate laws and estate planning procedures.Experience managing contested probate situations and providing strategic advice to clients.Strong understanding of veteran-specific estate planning and probate issues.Ability to handle a high volume of cases independently while providing personalized attention to clients.Excellent communication, negotiation, and legal drafting skills.Proven ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Client-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.Certifications:Active membership in the Colorado State Bar and in good standing.Skills:Expertise in probate law, estate planning, wills, and trusts.Knowledge of veteran-specific estate planning issues.Strong legal research and writing abilities.Ability to manage multiple clients and cases simultaneously.Excellent client management skills, with a focus on clear communication and client satisfaction.Proficiency in using legal software and technology to manage cases efficiently.
