As a Staff Software Engineer on Reporting Workflow, you’ll have the unique opportunity to champion and build high-quality features leveraging our report generation architecture. You will be asked to maintain and grow our client statement reporting architecture with a focus on extensibility and scalability. As a key leader within the Reporting Workflow organization, you’ll also contribute to the evolution of how we provide client statements to end customers. As part of the Ridgeline Reporting team, you’ll help shape our culture, make a big impact on a small team, and learn what it takes to build a successful company. You’ll be empowered to think outside the box and add your own genius, passion, and interests to the software development lifecycle. What will you do? Contribute business insight, design skills, and technical expertise to a team where design, strategy, and engineering collaborate closely. Drive projects through the entire full-stack software development process, from requirements and design reviews through implementation. Impact an evolving tech stack based on modern front-end frameworks and AWS back-end services. Participate in the creation of developer-based automation that leads to scalable, high-quality applications. Coach, mentor, and inspire teams of software engineers responsible for delivering high performing, secure enterprise applications. Think creatively, own problems, seek solutions, and communicate clearly. Contribute to a collaborative environment rooted in learning, teaching, and transparency. Demonstrate a strong dedication to code quality, automation, and operational excellence. Desired Skills and Experiences 6+ years in a software engineering position, with experience in designing and developing new products. A degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or a related discipline. Mastery of data structures, algorithms, state machines, and architectural patterns. Experience working with relational databases and/or enterprise frameworks. Understanding of building back-end infrastructure using AWS offerings. Expertise in one or more of the following languages: Kotlin, Java, C#. Willingness to learn about new technologies while developing expertise in a business domain. Ability to focus on short-term deliverables while maintaining a big-picture perspective. An aptitude for problem solving. Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels. Serious interest in having fun at work. Nice-to-Haves Experience building responsive Web interfaces using frameworks such as React and Redux. Experience with agile development methodologies.
