Crete United has existing partner locations in 16 states and is targeting growth in all geographies. The company creates value by partnering with established local businesses, allowing owner-operators to operate independently while providing resources and assistance to grow revenue and increase profitability.The VP of Operations will oversee all aspects of operations (field, project management, estimation, purchasing and safety) for Crosby Electric. The VP of Operations will have full P&L ownership and accountability for attaining sales and revenue goals, planned EBITDA, and maintenance base growth goals.Position Responsibilities:Promote a Sales Culture within the organization to Achieve Local Sales PlanGrow a Profitable Service Business with a strong recurring maintenance baseManage Projects Team to achieve booked margin, predictably forecast revenue and margin, and mitigate project risk to the businessControl Expenses to ensure a healthy and lean business operationProvide leadership for adoption and Implementation of Repeatable and Scalable Operations and Management Plan of the business within CMG (Crete Mechanical Group) guidelinesProvide leadership across the business demonstrating a high degree of creativity, foresight, expertise with mature judgment in planning, organizing, guiding, and managing autonomous individuals and diverse groups towards consistent and excellent executionDevelop a strong sales presence in the market with the ability to build relationships across existing and potential verticals both upstream and downDevelop new client relationships with owners, developers, real estate professionals, architects, vendors, and contractors while enhancing and expanding existing relationshipsOptimize full cycle performance workflows (Prospecting > Estimating & Pricing > Negotiating > Booking > Execution > Billings > Collections) to ensure timely presentation of monthly financial results and forecasts monthly to senior managementReview all estimating and pricing activity to ensure best value solutions at highest attainable marginsMargin achievement for projects, work orders, and maintenance agreements.Ensure labor resource loading and productivity tracking are implemented, updated, analyzed on a weekly basisRegular and consistent 1:1 check-in with direct reports with clearly identified, metrics driven goals and objectivesTeam development and the conducting of periodic performance reviews and solicitation of suggestions from staff on improving procedures, productivity, and efficienciesProviding wise, high integrity and authoritative decisions and recommendations that have significant impacts on the activities of the business and the markets we serveCoordinate with other CMG businesses to promote cross selling and solutions selling growth initiativesPosition Requirements:Bachelor's degree not required, but preferred, with preference to technical degrees7 or more years’ experience in Commercial electrical construction and operations management5 or more years with P&L responsibility of at least $10M in the industry5 or more years of management of 10 or more direct or indirect reportsAbility to demonstrate technical knowledge and expertiseComputer literate to include average skills with Microsoft applicationsTrade ERP experience strongly preferredExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsClient-facing communication experience requiredStrategic, process-oriented thinker with strong work ethic and decision-making abilitySelf-motivated and able to execute in a fast-paced, people and metrics centric environmentProven ability to generate accurate, consistent, and timely business outcomesDemonstrable experience of collaborative team leadership and ability to inspire othersExceptional professional referencesCompensation and Benefits:
