Founded in 2004, HX5 is a fast-growing veteran- and woman-owned company with locations nationwide.HX5 is currently seeking a qualified Systems Administrator in support of the MDA IRES program at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL. The Systems Administrator supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development forEnterprise Solutions (IRES) contract.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Manage the Microsoft and RHEL servers and workstations, administering Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts/Bulletins (IAVA/B), RHEL Errata, and RMF Security controlsAdminister routine battle-rhythm checks in the Microsoft and Linux environments, to include reviewing and respondingaccordingly to events reflected in the various management toolsAttend various meetings (crew/team, staff, change, configuration, etc.) in support of lab environmentTroubleshoot system errors and/or user issuesCoordinate efforts with other work centers and personnel to resolve Incident Requests (break/fix), Change Requests(RFC), and Problem Management activitiesProvide operation and maintenance support (some on-call may be necessary) to assist with after-hour maintenanceactivities

Education andExperience:Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience:HS Diploma (or GED) and eight (8) years of generalexperienceAssociate's degree and six (6) years of general experienceBachelor's degree and four (4) years of generalexperienceMaster's degree and two (2) years of general experience

Must have 5 years of directly related experience in an engineering field related to Microsoft or Linux environmentsMust have a current DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II Certification (e.g. CompTIA Security+ CE Certification)Have a strong analytical background with accompanying troubleshooting skills in a technical environment.Have strong verbal and written communication skills.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours.Other Position Requirements:Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.Must be able to travel, including air travel.
