The E&C function is a globally integrated team within the second line of defense of the firm. McKinsey has an E&C program that is structured in a way that ensures that it is well designed, empowered tofunction effectively, and works in practice. Our E&C program includes a clear message that misconduct is not tolerated as well as policies, procedures, training, monitoring and consequence management to ensure the program is well-integrated into the firm's operations and workforce. This opportunity works in Client Service Compliance, which is responsible for instilling trust that the firm serves clients and communities with integrity. This role reports to the Global Director of Client Service Compliance.
Your impact within our firmIn this role, you will oversee the identification and mitigation of ethics and compliance-associated risks for delivery of projects in Life Sciences, working closely with client service teams that are engaged in day-to-day delivery. You will also lead a team to drive day-to-day E&C monitoring activities for Life Sciences projects, including compliance with contractual terms, guardrails, documentation retention requirements and any remediation plans. You will lead and oversee the development and maintenance of a targeted domain of policies, procedures and practices for identifying, managing and reporting on ethics and compliance risks associated with client service within the Life Sciences practices. This may include requirements associated with the applicable Federal health care program requirements, other relevant healthcare regulations, and any professional standards applicable to Life Sciences projects. You will oversee the review of, and as needed, implement/ execute on activities related to project materials such as project plans, interim materials and communication, and final materials to ensure that recommendations or advice are in line with Federal laws and regulations. As part of this responsibility, you will also advise on identification and mitigation of the ethics and compliance-associated risks for delivery of projects in Life Sciences, working closely with client service teams that are engaged in day-to-day delivery. Another key responsibility will be to lead E&C monitoring activities, and as needed, implement monitoring activities in Life Sciences projects, including documentation retention requirements and any remediation plans. You will also produce quality regular reporting for internal and external audiences on ethics and compliance matters including periodic review and syndication of Life Sciences deliverables by key governing bodies. To drive continuous improvement, you will also recommend changes in the firm policies, procedures and practices, including trainings and communications, based on insights from data and external sources. Collaboration is a key aspect of this role. You will collaborate with a cross-functional and senior stakeholder group (e.g., Legal, Risk) across the firm in a timely and efficient manner. Additionally, you will lead a high-impact team to deliver against priorities, supporting their growth and development needs through processes such as review, recruitment, and coaching. Finally, you will play a critical role in sustaining and evolving our E&C program and upholding our commitment to integrity and lawful practices.
Your qualifications and skills
