Corewell Health Children's Hospital is seeking compassionate, dedicated, and energetic
part -time pediatric hospitalist to join our team in Royal Oak, MI
Our dynamic team manages hospitalized newborn and pediatric patients aged 0-21 yrs. Team members are involved in education, quality improvement, clinical protocol creation, professional development, research, and other scholarly activities.
The new physician will work in rotation with the other pediatric hospitalists in the group providing in-house and overnight home-call coverage within our medical pediatric and newborn units. The pediatric hospitalist will be expected to perform pediatric admissions, pediatric ED consultations, round on well newborns, and participate in daily family-centered bedside rounding. Supervision of resident physicians is a key component of this role. The division sponsors a newly established Pediatric Hospital Medicine Fellowship Program. Physicians also work closely with a collaborative and experienced group of pediatric advanced practice providers.
The Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine partners with Corewell Graduate Medical Education, providing the opportunity to work with Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine in clinical and pre-clinical settings. During most clinical shifts, pediatric hospitalists will supervise OUWB medical students in addition to supervising residents in pediatrics, internal medicine-pediatrics, family medicine, and emergency medicine.
A full-time position includes:15-17 rounding days/month for a full-time position1 in 3 weekendsDay shifts with afternoon and overnight shifts possible.
