Heffernan Insurance Brokers is looking for an experienced Commercial Lines Account Executive. This role blends the sales position and responsibilities with those of a typical Executive Account Manager role. This is a dynamic role, acting as a team lead in supporting their Producer(s) while providing a spectrum of innovative strategies to develop and maintain customer's insurance and risk management needs.Responsibilities Include:Total account responsibility; to include marketing and account management for assigned clients.Travel for client and carrier meetings, customer events, association events and conferences. Occasional overnight travel may be necessary.Ability to take the lead on managing renewals.Cross sell other lines of coverage when meeting with clients.Active participation in client presentations for new and renewal business.Development of new business and renewal strategies. This will include preparing specifications and submission material for marketing, securing underwriting information and analyzing existing coverage as well as making recommendations to clients.Guide fast-paced new business submissions through underwriting by creating SOV’s, ACORD applications, loss projections, narrative of operations, etc.Correspond with producer(s), clients, and underwriters during submission process.Coordinate all aspects of renewal marketing process with client and provide program structure, review and analysis.Must be able to handle complex accounts; including account placement, preparing account specifications, price negotiations and alternative risk services.Provide technical competence in areas of coverage and current markets.Manage account services, as customary with that of an Executive Account Manager role. Must be capable of managing and balancing many different relationships – including clients, team members and carriers.Evaluate insureds needs, while communicating renewal strategy to Account Management team.Meet regularly with insureds to manage and build rapport throughout the year.Conduct various training sessions for clients, including workers compensation reporting, GL and property reporting awareness and various strategic trainings throughout the year.Attend loss prevention and similar meetings on site and prepare clients for such meetings.Conduct on site risk audits for prospective clients.Attend and participate in regular team sales meetings.Thorough documentation is required on each account with proper E&O procedures strictly followed.Other duties and special technical projects as assigned.Compensation:The salary range for this position is $100,000 to $160,000. The offer will depend on the geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
