The AUKUS Group, within SPA's Sea, Land, and Air Division, provides timely, objective, analytic assessments that integrate technical, operational, programmatic, policy and business analysis to NAVSEA's AUKUS Integration and Acquisition Program Office and associated partner organizations.
Analysts and Engineers supporting AUKUS will continue SPA’s decades of support to the undersea force and assist in developing a trilateral submarine force for the future. This is a high-profile, major international program of significant importance to the future of the US Navy and its partners in an era of renewed strategic competition.
ResponsibilitiesThe Program Analyst will provide support to the NAVSEA AUKUS program, focusing on program support to undersea platform acquisition. Responsibilities and duties will include: strategic planning and coordination of program wide activities; specific support for UK AUKUS Logistics Manager (LM), coordination with external activities to include NAVSUP, DLA, PHNSY, CNRJ, TRANSCOM and internal AUKUS workstreams; reviewing and editing Supply Workstream (WS) Tier 2 schedules and Plan of Actions & Milestones (POA&M); tracking the creation, current status, and completion action items assigned to Supply WS and LM; preparing briefing materials for LM at O6/O7 and GS-15/SES level; supporting development of integrated budgets and POM submittals; developing and implementing office and organizational administrative policies and procedures; risk management; collaborating directly with the leadership to determine and prioritize objectives.
This position is located in Alexandria, VA with some opportunity to travel to client and industry stakeholder locations.
A hybrid schedule is possible, but you must have the ability to attend required meetings at the Washington Navy Yard. Travel likely to include regular trips to: Defense Logistics Agency HQ in Fort Belvoir, VA; NAVSUP HQ in Mechanicsburg, PA; biannual trips to Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, HI.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
5+ years professional experience in logistics
5+ years experience with DoD/DHS
Proficient in using Microsoft Office, including Word and PowerPoint, to communicate to decision makers
Current DoD security clearance - minimum Secret, with the ability to maintain it throughout employment
Additional Qualifications Desired, but not required:
Experience with Team Submarine and NAVSEA
Experience/knowledge of DoD acquisition program office organizations and processes
Experience working with international partners
Experience with US Military Sealift Command, Air Mobility Command, or Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command
General knowledge of Indo-Pacific theater
Military staff work or college level planning work
