About the RoleThe Senior Financial Analyst role will support the Lifestyle Professional Solutions business unit as a member of the Global Finance team. The key focus includes budgeting, forecasting, and analytics with an emphasis on the business's commercial activities. This position is also responsible for completing complex management reports and financial models, process improvement initiatives, and developing recommendations for change. A solid knowledge of financial systems is required.
What You Will DoPrepare annual operating and capital budgets, long-term planning, and monthly forecastsReview and report on variance analysis of actual vs. Forecast, Plan & Prior YearMonth-end close reporting and reconciliation; review and validate Shared Services' work submissionsSupport cost center activity including monthly reporting and analysis and leading reviews with LeadershipAnalyze and evaluate the elements of the business unit's operating results and financial position; analyze and implement aligned options for business unit improvement on expensesEnsure SOX compliance as identified by Internal Audit/external vendor in compliance with SOX narrativesStreamline tools and processes to improve analysis of complex data and make recommendationsPerform ad hoc projects as requiredWhat You NeedBachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field with a Master's degree or CMA preferred.Five or more years of experienceDemonstrated knowledge of P&L and cash budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processesStrong analytical, written, verbal, and organizational skillsStrong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments and management levelsStrong attention to detail and data accuracy with a heightened sense of urgency and the ability to adapt to changing prioritiesStrong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills with experience developing and executing executive-level presentations.SAP or other large ERP and follow-on system experience along with the ability to manage large data setsAbility to contribute both as an effective individual and as a proactive team memberWhat is Nice to HaveExperience working in a global organization work settingExperience working in disparate time zonesExperience working in the consumer products industryWhat Makes You EligibleAvailability to travel up to 5% domestically as required.Willingness to work remotely with twice weekly trips into the Northridge, CA office as scheduled or requested (this could be on 24-hour notice).Successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employmentWhat We OfferAccess to employee discounts on world-class HARMAN products (JBL, Harman/Kardon, etc.)Opportunity to collaborate with talented teams across the worldHybrid work schedule with a culture encouraging work-life integrationProfessional development opportunities through HARMAN University's business and leadership academies and extensive course catalogAn inclusive and diverse work environment that fosters and encourages career development opportunitiesOn-site opportunities to focus on personal well-being and development are provided by our Wellness Committee, Volunteer Committee, and multiple Employee Resource Groups, including the Harman Women's Network..#LI-DP2.Pay Transparency
