Irving Forest Products, Inc a growing company on the leading edge of technology in the sawmill industry.
We are currently seeking a full time outside forklift operator to join our team. The individual we are looking for needs to be safety oriented, energetic and able to follow instruction. This is a fulltime afternoon position that answers to the shipping supervisor. This position offers a competitive wage - $18-$20 dollars per hour. Help truck drivers and provide assistance when needed in order to help them find and load yard items.Pull and stage orders, as well as load and unload trucks for delivery of products in an efficient and productive manner.Insure items are stocked and located in proper locations-this includes returned items, special order items, and newly purchased items.Ensure orders are pulled and loaded accurately, according to system documentation.Upkeep of all yard areas-inventory is organized, neat and orderly, trash is removed, and areas are free of clutter.Maintain daily maintenance checks for forklifts with regards to safety and servicing.Adhere to company safety rules and procedures.All other request as assigned by supervisor or company management.Must be a U.S citizen or be authorized to work in the U.S.Qualifications
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions.Ability to read and interoperate documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Ability to work well with others in a team environment.Forklift experience required.High school diploma or general education degree (GED)Required to lift a up to 50 pounds.
