Position is Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm with the ability to work additional hours as needed.
Position is located at 201 Robert S Kerr Ave, Oklahoma City, OK with opportunity to work part of the time from other Arvest branch locations within the region.
SUMMARY:
The Human Resource Generalist is an individual contributor who administers various human resources plans and procedures in support of a bank or division. The incumbent coordinates all aspects of recruiting, assists managers with associate relation issues and answers general benefit questions for all associates. The incumbent has a basic understanding of business disciplines and the application of well-defined techniques and procedures. Ensure legal requirements and Bank Group policy requirements are met with regard to record keeping for each associate. The incumbent in this position also advises and assists assigned supervisors and managers in handling coaching, counseling, and disciplinary issues with their respective associates. Incumbents must be able to handle highly confidential information, such as all associates' salaries, associate disciplinary matters, etc. in a professional manner. Human Resource Generalist may also provide guidance and direction to Human Resource Assistant and/or Human Resource Administrator.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Advises and assists assigned supervisors and managers in handling coaching, counseling, and disciplinary issues with their respective associates.As needed perform duties of Human Resources Administrator.Screen resumes and interview qualified applicants and make hiring recommendations.Offer guidance to managers regarding job offers. Sit in with managers for interviews as requested.Assist with additional annual reporting such as Salary Review Management, annual benefits update for each associate, Affirmative Action compliance and reporting etc.Attend various meetings, seminars, training programs, schools, etc. to maintain up-to-date education requirements in the Human Resource field.Set up medical appointments as necessary, prepare the paperwork, and complete any computer input for Worker's Compensation injuries for assigned associates.Fill in for the HR Manager as required.Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.

May directly supervise 1 or more associates as assigned by the Manager. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Ensure direct reports have completed required compliance training and are adhering to all internal procedures and controls as it relates to bank policy, laws, regulations and Arvest's BSA/AML Program. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates. The incumbent has the authority and the appropriate influence to make recommendations regarding hiring, firing, advancement, promotion, or any other change of status of other associates within the guidelines of the bank's procedures and guidelines for such change of status events. The incumbent provides training, planning, assigning, and directing work assignments and schedules; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Associates' degree in Human Resources or equivalent work experience required.Three years human resources experience required.High level of knowledge of legal and compliance issues required.Experience in financial industry preferred.PHR or SPHR Certification preferred.OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
