Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) Senior Manager

with a specialized focus in Cloud and Mobile engineering to lead our testing efforts and ensure the quality of our products. As a Senior Manager, SDET for the Heart Failure Division

Solutions portfolio (both Class II and Class III), you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our medical device software portfolio. You will lead a team of SDETs who work closely with our development and operations teams to deliver high-quality, resilient software solutions that meet the stringent requirements of the medical device industry. You will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive test automation strategy, driving continuous improvement in our testing processes, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Your role will involve mentoring and guiding your team to adopt best practices in test automation, continuous integration, and continuous delivery (CI/CD). You will need extensive technical knowledge in the development, delivery, and implementation of scalable web and mobile applications, including IoT pipelines. Expertise in the principles of test automation, continuous integration, and continuous delivery (CI/CD) is critical for success in this role.What Youll Work OnLeadership and Mentorship: Lead and mentor a team of SDETs, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

Strategy Development: Develop and execute a test automation strategy that aligns with the goals of the digital health solutions team.

Quality Assurance: Ensure that all software meets the highest standards of quality and reliability, adhering to regulatory requirements. Track and improve key metrics such as defect detection rate and release quality.

Collaboration: Work closely with development, operations, and product teams to integrate testing into the software development lifecycle.

Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies. Measure and enhance test automation coverage and test execution time.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all testing activities comply with relevant regulatory standards and guidelines.

Incident Management: Participate in post-incident reviews and help teams learn from incidents to prevent future occurrences. Monitor and reduce incident response and resolution time.

Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing updates on testing progress, quality metrics, and areas for improvement.

Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in test automation and quality assurance, and apply them to improve our processes.

Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

Minimum of 8 years of experience in software development and/or software quality assurance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, drive change, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Extensive experience in developing, delivering, and implementing scalable web and mobile applications including IoT pipelines.

Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks.

Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Expertise in cloud-native and modern software architectures, including microservices.

Experience in performance profiling, benchmarking, and implementing optimizations.

Experience in load, stress, performance, system integration and End-to-End testing.

Preferred Qualifications10 plus years of experience in software development and/or software quality assurance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Experience in the medical device industry or other highly regulated environments is preferred.

Master's Degree is preferred.

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
