Job Description
We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented team player to join our team as a Customer Service/Order Processing Specialist. This individual acts as a primary order processer and customer liaison by providing accurate order data processing and by resolving order-related discrepancies with our customer base to ensure that orders are processed according to policies and customer requirements. The ideal candidate should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrate great time management, and manage multiple assignments in a fast-faced environment. This fast-paced data driven role requires an understanding of a variety of systems and procedures, strong problem-solving skills, an impeccable attention to detail, the ability to successfully facilitate the flow of information both internally and externally, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Major Job Functions -Accurately enter customer purchase order data received through various modesVerify order details such as product, quantities, pricing, and shipping information to ensure accuracyEnsure all incoming orders are processed in a timely manner and are in line with Sunny Sky standardsDevelop and maintain a vast knowledge of products and services offeredProvide prompt order updates and exceptional customer service on order inquiries in a professional mannerCoordinate with Accounts Receivable to mitigate credit riskWork with production and distribution teams to understand order status and fulfillment timesBe aware of customer trends and other considerations to provide observations and updates to the operations teamDaily billing for all orders shippedSend daily invoices through various modes (e.g., QuickBooks, EDI, Customer Portals)Update company financial files and generate reports from multiple manufacturing facilitiesOther duties as assigned.Ideal Requirements
Previous experience in high volume data entry and customer billing with a large customer baseStrong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while working with large volumes of data in a fast-paced environmentStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing prioritiesAbility to multi-task, prioritize and possess strong time management in a fast-paced environmentHighly organized with excellent communication skillsKnowledge with logistics; LTL, TL and freight ratesExcellent customer service skills and the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with co-workers, customers, and other departments across multiple manufacturing facilitiesKnowledge of Microsoft Office and other common technology platforms/toolsPrevious experience working in an ERP system, knowledge of Fishbowl, QuickBooks, and SAP a plusUnderstanding of EDI and other methods of receiving orders
